Anna Blinkova made the final in Kazakhstan: I played well

Anna Blinkova, Kazakhstan, ITF, final, runner up

Russian EMPIRE Tennis Academy member Anna Blinkova did well at Almaty Cup 2016 in Kazakhstan. She made the singles final there at 25 000 USD tournament.

Anna Blinkova is in great form last few weeks. On August, 21st she claimed her second singles title in Westende, Belgium. It was her first 25 000 USD tournament title. Now she could have added second one, on clay, in Kazakhstan at Almaty Cup 2016 in Gorky Tennis Park.
After beating number four seed Russian Komardina in quarterfinal, she eliminated then Turkish Basak Erayding 6-2, 6-3 to play another Russian Victoria Kamenskaya. Unfortunately Anna lost in three dramatic sets 6-1, 3-6, 2-6.
"I had very good opponent in the final, also Russian. I know her well. First set was brilliant from my side; I played aggressive tennis, lot of winners on my side. She improved in the second set, she did not allow me to get her under pressure. I fought hard but I was bit tired after playing at three tournaments. I could not level up my game at the end," commented Anna Blinkova on her final performance in Almaty for www.empire-tennis-academy.com. "I like the tournament cause I played well. I had lot of Russian friends here," she added with smile.
Anna Blinkova received 30 points into WTA ranking. She is already in top 300. At the moment she is WTA No. 276.
