EMPIRE Tennis Academy member Artem Dubrivnyy has performed exceptionally well at his third men's event in his career. Trainee of Vladimir Platenik advanced to the semifinal of Futures tournament in Kazan after beating home player Vitaly Kozyukov in three sets 6-7(8), 6-2, 6-2 in match lasting more than three hours, then he won against Alexander Bublik in the 2R and against Alexander Perfilov in the quarterfinal.

Artem Dubrivnyy showed great fighting spirit against 21-years old opponent in the first round. Vladimir Platenik is directly in Kazan to watch his player. Match with five years older opponent lasted for three hours and fifteen minutes. "Artem played the best tennis I have seen him play so far. After the match he told me about his motivation playing against older opponents. Kozyukov was extremely difficult to play against. Although he did not have the best ranking, he played really well," said about Artem Dubrivnyy's first round performance Vladimir Platenik.

For advancing into the semifinal of Futures tournament in Kazan, Artem Dubrivnyy was rewarded with his first ever 6 ATP points. He was given wild card to play in the main draw of the tournament.
