Banczi reached quarterfinals in Netherlands

Viktor Bánczi, Juraj Jančovič, Lenka Stara, ITF, Holland

Member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy Viktor Banczi, coached by Juraj Jancovic, reached the quarterfinals of junior ITF 4 Autumn Almere 2015. Tournament was played indoors on hard courts in Almere, Netherlands.

Only 15-years old Viktor Banczi is currently 1525th in the combined junior Under 18 ITF ranking with 15 points. For advancing into the quarterfinal of IT4 4 Autumn Almere 2015 in Holland, he will get another 15 points. "Viktor played in both rounds exceptionally well. He was mentally strong, played good game. He is initiative, feels relaxed. Plays fast balls," commented Juraj Jancovic on Viktor Banczi’s performances. Banczi beat 6th seed Brit Purser in the second round. Purser is two years older and No. 559 in the ITF ranking. There was a tough challenge ahead of Viktor on Thursday morning, as he faced home player Amadatus Admiraal and despite efforts in the second set, he lost after three sets 1-6, 6-2, 1-6. "Vito lost the match because he did not handle it mentally this time. It’s a pity, because he was definitely capable of winning the match," described the match Juraj Jancovic.

Lenka Stara also plays in Netherlands. In first round, she beat home player Melgers, but she fell short to Slovenian Novak in second round after two close sets 5-7, 6-7 (4). "Lenka played a difficult match on Tuesday, then she lost close second round match. She shows improvements, which makes me happy. She was a fighter, played well," said Juraj Jancovic. Lenka Stara also played doubles, and reached the quarterfinals.
