Daniel Trcka together with players from High Tatras in TC EMPIRE

Players and coaches of TC EMPIRE Trnava and TC Vysoke Tatry together in EMPIRE hall Trnava:

Former coach of former World Number 5 Jiri Novak, Dan Trcka came together with his players from TC Vysoke Tatry to Trnava to spend four days in TC EMPIRE club.

Jiri Novak (40), who managed to beat players like Becker, Aggassi, Sampras or even four times Federer talks about Daniel Trcka as about coach who taught him the game of tennis. Czech coach felt great in Trnava together with players from TC Vysoke Tatry. "We were invited by the club management. We were very glad to accept this offer, because TC EMPIRE is a great club with very good facilities and great sparings for our players. We came here with good players. Romana Cisovska is a Talent of the year in Slovakia, first in her age category. Martin Fekiac is also playing for national team, third in his age category. My son Daniel also came with us, also member of this group," said Trcka, currently head coach of TC Vysoke Tatry.

Change was welcomed also because of current reconstruction of their training facility in Tatranska Lomnica. "We do not have indoor hall currently available because of current reconstruction. We are waiting for new courts to be installed. We had to travel a lot recently but at least players will appreciate what they have at home."

And how did the training sessions look like in TC EMPIRE? "We try to group players around the same age as Romana Cisovska. She played together with Nina Stankovska and Klara Ondrejcekova. Our aim was for the girls to meet together during training, not only during tournaments, so they get on with each other well. Boys trained with younger, older players. Great variety. For everyone it was a much needed change. For our players, for Trnava players. We also took part in the physical trainings, we have made positive impulses into our training process," added Trcka. He already spends his fourth year in High Tatras.
