Dubrivnyy second at the 2015 European Junior Championships in Moscow

Artem Dubrivnyy

Artem Dubrivnyy from EMPIRE Tennis Academy played at the 2015 European Junior Championships 16 & under in Moscow, where he was considered as one of the favourites. Dubrivnyy already earns points at men’s ATP events and he is also in the ATP rankings.

Artem Dubrivnyy was eight seeded in Moscow and he did play according to the expectations. After bye given in the first round, he beat Brit Hersey, Swede Friberg and Spaniard Canovas. In quarterfinal on Friday he played against second seeded Ukrainian Mashtakov, but Artem Dubrivnyy gave him no chance, winning comfortably in two sets 6-2, 6-0. In the semi-final on Saturday, he came across French player Matteo Martineau, and once again won in two sets 7-5, 6-3. It was only on Sunday, where he fell short to Czech Patrik Rikl in straight sets 4-6, 1-6. Dubrivnyy made it second at the U16 European Championship.
Artem Dubrivnyy along with Sokolovskiy also reached doubles final, where they lost to Polish duo.
