Eva Siska of Slovak origin, a new member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy in Trnava

Eva Siska, born in Texas, who has Slovak roots, has become a new member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy. She has moved to Trnava with her parents. Here, she is going to have a training base.

Eva Siska was attracted to Trnava by the EMPIRE Tennis Academy. "My father works at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius here in the town, he is a geography professor. My parents have moved in Trnava first. Before that, we had lived in England where my dad had another job," Siska told us at the beginning.

Twenty one years old player, No. 1043 in the WTA rankings, was born in Texas and lived there until she was 8 years old. But the family has changed locations and for 14 times in her life. "Instead of vacation, we just moved. I started to play when I was 5 years old. My father has always loved tennis and I was the only one of his children who actually wanted to play tennis," Eva Siska explains.

"I live in Trnava now, just 10 minutes from the TC EMPIRE club. I like it here, my parents also got married here. We live near the church where they got married, it is across the street," added the tennis player who has been satisfied in Trnava so far. "I really like it here, training is so intense. I have found what I needed, I have already started to feel great. I have been here only for one month but I think a lot of things have improved since my arrival. I have definitely been feeling more confident and the atmosphere is very good here."

The American has played in Egypt recently and another tournaments in Great Britain are ahead of her. "I want to play 25Ks because I need to improve my ranking, " Eva Siska. Her biggest success so far has been the beating of the British player Freya Christie (6-3, 6-4) in Sharm El Sheikh last year. In that time, Christie was No. 392 in the WTA rankings and seed No. 1.
