First ITF points for Viktor Banczi in Albania

ITF points, Viktor Banczi, Juraj Jancovic, Albania

Trainee of Juraj Jancovic, 15 years old member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy Viktor Banczi, made a comeback onto ITF circuit in great style. He reached the quarterfinals in Albania, at National Sport Park Open U18 tournament.

Viktor Banczi had problems with injuries and since March 2015, he only played one international tournament, in August in Zilina, Slovakia where he made it to the doubles quarterfinals and R2 in doubles. He gained 2.5 points into combined ITF ranking and in his premiere; he was No. 2036.

Now, Viktor Banczi will climb up the ranking significantly, after he will be rewarded with ten points, reaching the quarterfinals in Albania. "Viktor plays solid tennis. Regarding his injuries, from time to time he feels pain, but it looks much better. Doctors came up with different diagnosis, but it was rather a shoulder injury. We plan to play as many tournaments as possible till November, because until now Viktor played only few junior tournaments," reflected on Viktor’s performance and near future his coach, Juraj Jancovic, for www.empire-tennis-academy.com.

National Sport Park Open U18 was played on hard courts in Albanian capital Tirana and was recognised as Grade 4  event.
