Juhaszova in the semi-final in Antalya, reaches WTA career high

Member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy Vivien Juhaszova was successful at another tournament in Antalya, Turkey. She reached the semi-final of 2016 ITF Men's & Women's Circuit Combined.

Women’s tournament with prize money 10K USD is played outdoors on clay in Alibey Club Manavgat. Vivien Juhaszova, coached by Martin Durdik, started with a win over Czech Novotna 6-2, 6-1, after that she eliminated Russian Doroshina and in the quarterfinal she played 21-years old Moldavian Vdovenco. It was a dramatic and close match, but Vivien proved to be fighter and won the encounter in three sets 6-7(6), 6-4, 7-5. "She surprised me. She plays quick tennis, with lot of unforced errors. Today it was her day. I fought out there for every ball, even though it looked hopeless sometimes. And it was worth it. Most importantly I did not lose faith after wasting two set points in the first set," said Vivien Juhaszova for www.empire-tennis-academy.com.

In the semi-final Vivien Juhaszova played number one seed German Anne Schaefer (No. 218 in the WTA rankings). However Slovakian player had to withdraw from the match after losing the first set 1-6 due to injury.

Vivien will be awarded with four points into the ranking following her semi-final success in Turkey and first time in her career she will make it into the Top 500 in singles ranking (490.). Her career best until now was 503rd spot in 2013.

Vivien Juhaszova won the doubles together with Czech Tereza Mihalikova last week in the same tennis club in Turkey.
