Juhaszova wins singles title in Turkey, Kupkova’s second WTA point

Two members of EMPIRE Tennis Academy made a successful tennis trip to Turkey. Seventeen years old Tamara Kupkova earned her second point into the WTA ranking after advancing into second round in singles and reaching the final in doubles. Vivien Juhaszova achieved her second singles ITF title in her career, first one earlier this season.

Tamara Kupkova gained her first point amongst women in beginning of September in Bol, Croatia (for more info click here). After the 10K event in Antalyia, she owns two. Together with Russian Nepliy, she was in the final of doubles. Interestingly enough, in the doubles quarterfinal she beat Slovakian pair Vivien Juhaszova, Chantal Skumlova.

Vivien Juhaszova will be rewarded with 12 points into the WTA rankings after beating Bulgarian Julia Stamatova in the final. "Before the tournament, I did not really think about getting this far. In the final, it was important to put my opponent under pressure.  Support from my boyfriend Michal helped me a lot, because he was here for holidays," said Vivien Juhaszova for www.empire-tennis-academy.com.
Member of the academy is pleased to have ended long period (5 years) without singles title. Vivien also owns 14 doubles titles. Juhaszova won her first singles title back in 2010 in Serbian Prokuplje. "I fought my way to victories, even despite being down in some matches. So I appreciate it even more. I played more tough matches, it was more about mental strength and fighting spirit," added with smile on her face.
