Daria Kasatkina from EMPIRE Tennis Academy reached the semifinals of  St. Petersburg LadiesTrophy. On Friday she beat the Slovak Dominika Cibulkova 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. The match lasted 2 hrs 34 min.

Cibulkova made many more unforced errors than the young Russian (43 vs 18). Daria Kasatkina was also more accurate in her shots towards the end of the match.
"I think that anyone who saw it on TV, it must have been great experience for him. Daria was able to raise the level of her game and I appreciate that she managed to beat Dominika Cibulkova, who played her best tennis. For me, it's very encouraging for the future, because I saw that Daria can play really great tennis. It will be important that these performances are going to be there more often but we can do it even better. I want to thank to the team EMPIRE Tennis Academy’s team in Trnava for great conditions for our work and support," said Daria Kasatkina's coach Vladimir Platenik for www.empire-tennis-academy website. Daria Kasatkina then lost to Belinda Bencic 4-6 3-6.
