Kozlova lost in the 1st round, she reached her maximum at Roland Garros

EMPIRE Tennis Academy member and trainee of Jaroslav Levinsky Kateryna Kozlova, played in the first round of the Grand Slam tournament, Roland Garros on Sunday. She faced Lesia Tsurenko, a fellow countrywoman, in the first round. Jaroslav Levinsky explained more about the match.

"It was obvious that she could not move from 4-4 in the first set. She was marked by the three previous matches at the tournament qualifiers. This is because she was sick before the EMPIRE Slovak Open in Trnava. She had a middle ear inflammation. In Trnava, she did not have time to physically prepare. What she did in qualifying, she reached the bottom of her strength. Today, she only had energy for a few games, then it was physically impossible," said Jaroslav Levinsky for www.empire-tennis-academy.com, who also found positive things in Paris.

"She won three tough qualifying matches. She found her way, played active. She had 50 net approachesIn those three matches, which is a good number. She was tired today, but we both know she was not feeling well. There's nothing what we could have done with it," coach continued.

It was not that important that two countrywomen played against each other. „Sometimes players think of it, but Kateryna was not either disappointed nor happy. She took it as it was. There is a rilvalry between them, but she was controlling it.“
