Within EMPIRE Tennis Academy women's team there are top ranked WTA players: Elina Svitolina (Ukraine), Daria Kasatkina (Russia) being coached by Vladimir Platenik and young Slovak talents Tereza Mihalikova and Rebecca Sramkova. Team formation is in line with concept of Trnava club and Tennis Academy itself.

Czech Lucie Safarova is the latest team addition. She has with her American partner Bethanie Mattek-Sands recently reached her 4th doubles title at the Australian Open Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne. "I really look forward to Trnava since I wanted to see everything here and to play here. So far, my busy schedule did not allow that. I decided to enter the project I liked. And I think there are great people in Trnava who are interested in the progress of young tennis players and also tennis in general," said Safarova for www.empire-tennis-academy.com.

Vladimir Platenik, who is a head-coach in Trnava, informed her about the Tennis Academy itself. "We know each other for a long time from WTA circuit, but apart from him I heard good references from the other players, too. Tennis player does not spend much time at home, but when I'll be at home, I'll be glad to go to Trnava for practice opportunity. There is an ideal environment for professional training. And Trnava is not far from Brno! We look forward to our future cooperation," said winner of 7 WTA tournaments in singles and 13 in doubles.

Platenik : Top player with lot of experience

Safarova’s entry is highly welcomed by Vladimir Platenik, coach of Daria Kasatkina, number 27 in WTA rankings. "She’s a top player with lot of experience. We have basically approached coach Frantisek Cermak after splitting with Kvitova regarding cooperation with our Academy. We also hope to have great cooperation with her coach, who was a top player. He can also contribute with his experience and knowledge to all the players and coaches in Trnava.
