Zelenay has the doubles title from Prostejov, Martin has been in the finals in Furth

The two members of EMPIRE Tennis Academy Igor Zelenay and Hans Podlipnik have been fighting against each other in double finals. They both managed to progress to the finals accompanying various partners at the Unit Credit Czech Open in Prostejov, Czech Republic. Moreover, at the challenger in Germany, Andrej Martin was successful in doubles.

Igor Zelenay played doubles at the challenger in Prostejov, and he was playing with Bury (Belarus) against Hans Podlipnik accompanied by Peralta, also from Chile. The final match was overwhelmed by the fourth seeded pair of players, Zelenay/Bury, who were triumphing 6-4, 6-4! It is Zelenay‘s 27th challenger doubles title in his career.
“The tournament in Prostejov was simply perfect, as I managed not only to defend last year's doubles final but also to win . We haven‘t lost any set during the whole tournament, so I think we really deserved the victory. The conditions were suitable for us, as the balls were swift and the clay court was a bit faster. We played the finals at the centre and at this place, the court was the fastest,“ says Igor Zelenay.
At the next challenger in Furth, Germany, advanced the next member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy Andrej Martin partnering Austrian player Weissborn. In the finals, they lost to Arguello/ Maytin 3-6, 4-6.
